Jon Kaplan is a Managing Director and Senior Partner at the Boston Consulting Group, where he is a core member of BCG’s strategy and healthcare practice. He leads BCG’s transformation initiative for the future of healthcare in the United States and its global impact, and has served on BCG’s global healthcare leadership council and as practice leader for healthcare services in the Americas for six years.
His expertise spans payers, providers, retail, and services across North America and globally, with deep experience in care delivery and payment models, digital and AI-enabled strategies, and differentiated consumer experience. He has developed market position and growth strategies for leading healthcare organizations, built broad clinical programs including value-based solutions and aligned incentives, and testified as an expert witness before the U.S. Congress on the performance of original and private Medicare.
Prior to BCG, Jon held Senior Partner roles at Accenture, Diamond (PwC), and Ernst & Young. He holds an AB in Economics from Cornell University, an MPH in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the University of Pittsburgh, and an executive MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, where he also served as an adjunct professor.
Jon’s board and advisory experience includes Dario Health (NASDAQ), Quorum Health (NYSE), Transcarent, Livongo, Empassion Health, Tembo Health, Papa, Optura AI, the Nashville Health Care Council, and numerous nonprofit boards spanning more than 20 years. His private equity and venture affiliations include Frist Cressey Ventures, TowerBrook Capital Partners, Vistria, and HC9.
