Karen S. Lynch is the former President and CEO of CVS Health, one of the nation’s largest health services companies, where she led the organization through ambitious growth and transformation. Central to her leadership was a deep commitment to the consumer, putting patients at the center of care delivery, breaking down barriers to access, and making healthcare simpler to navigate for all. Under her leadership, CVS Health expanded its healthcare services portfolio, advanced AI and digital capabilities, and vaccinated nearly one-third of the American population during COVID-19. A recognized national voice on women’s health and mental health, Karen brings more than three decades of healthcare industry experience spanning Aetna, Cigna, and Magellan Health, beginning her career as a CPA at Ernst & Young.
Karen currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Thermo Fisher Scientific and ADP. She is the author of Taking Up Space: Get Heard, Deliver Results, and Make a Difference (McGraw Hill, 2024). Karen holds a degree from Boston College and an MBA from Boston University’s Questrom School of Business. She is the founder of the Karen S. Lynch Center for Leadership and Social Impact at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida. The center is a dynamic initiative dedicated to developing leaders who drive innovation, strengthen communities, and create lasting social impact.
