His expertise includes strategic business planning and execution, IT strategy and operating model transformation, integrated business and technology investment planning, business process improvement, project delivery, operational excellence and disciplined financial management across Information Services, Cyber Security and Analytics.
As a Senior Advisor for Oliver Wyman, Nick brings innovative business and technology solutions to address complex health plan, digital and operational challenges.
Prior to Oliver Wyman, Nick spent 3 years as Senior Vice President of Enterprise Business and Technology Solutions and CIO for Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of NJ, with responsibility for all Information Services, Information Security and Analytics. Prior to Horizon, Nick spent 13 years as Senior Vice President, Chief Information and Strategic Technology Officer at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee with responsibility for Information Services, Information Security, and Business Engineering.
Nick also served on the National Committee on Vital and Health Statistics, the statutory public advisory body to the Secretary of Health and Human Services on health data, statistics, privacy and national health information policy and HIPAA. Appointed by the secretary in 2015, reappointed to a second four-year term in 2019, and appointed as Committee Chairman in 2020.
Prior to his BlueCross BlueShield experience, Nick held several senior leadership and consulting roles for a diverse mix of global service and industrial manufacturing organizations where he gained international experience, mergers and acquisition experience as well as business transformation and major project delivery experience.
Nick holds a B.A. in Economics and Mathematics with honors from Dartmouth College and is a graduate of the Nashville Health Care Council Fellows program.
